Mt. Takao (March 8th)

Chrysosplenium album var. stamineum (Hana Neko-no-me)

Today we went to see if any Chrysosplenium album var. stamineum (Hana Neko-no-me) flowers were blooming yet on the No.6 trail of Mt. Takao. It seems that this year most of the spring flowers start blooming later than last year. Most of the Chrysosplenium album var. stamineum (Hana Neko-no-me) plants were still pretty small with tiny buds. We couldn't find any violet flowers, either. But we found small buds of Omphalodes japonica (Yama-ruri-sou) on the No. 3 trail.
